Michael Ehlers is a multifaceted performer and creative artist, excelling as an actor, singer, dancer, director, and choreographer with an enduring passion for storytelling.
Michael’s journey in the performing arts began as a child actor. During high school, he auditioned for the legendary Hal Prince and landed his first major role in the national tour of Evita. Shortly after, he had the rare opportunity to audition for a lead role in a Sydney Poitier film, spending an unforgettable day being directed by the iconic filmmaker—a moment that cemented his commitment to the craft.
Throughout his career, Michael has demonstrated remarkable versatility, performing on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in national and international tours, and at regional theaters across the United States. His standout roles include Munkustrap in CATS, Don Lockwood in Singin' in the Rain, and more recent portrayals such as Gene in Sideman, Wilbur in Hairspray, and Herbie in Gypsy.
Michael’s talents extend beyond the stage, with appearances in the feature film The Demon Within and on the hit television series Chicago PD. With decades of experience across various disciplines, he remains dedicated to inspiring audiences through his artistry and passion.
